Kristi holds a specialty in Oncology Acupuncture, certified through Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. She is trained to treat cancer patients and survivors safely and effectively, and to communicate with and work alongside conventional healthcare providers.
Cancer and its treatments are depleting. Traditional Chinese Medicine, practiced by a clinician with the specialized training this work requires, provides a restorative layer of support within a patient’s overall care plan.
Kristi is experienced in treating the side effects of conventional cancer care. The most common concerns she addresses include:
Kristi welcomes the opportunity to be part of an integrative care team supporting patients through this experience.
TCM and Cancer Care: Acupuncture and nutritional recommendations are used to address the specific side effects of oncology treatment, particularly digestive disorders, insomnia, fatigue, mood support, neuropathy, and pain — at the cellular and nervous system level. Treatment is always adapted to the patient’s current treatment phase and upon request is coordinated with the oncology team. Note: Chinese herbal medicine, amino acids, and FSM are not used for cancer patients due to potential interactions with treatment protocols.
For patients who have completed treatment and are in recovery, Traditional Chinese Medicine supports the restoration of energy, nervous system regulation, and quality of life. The focus shifts from managing side effects to rebuilding the patient’s overall health and resilience.
If you or someone you care about is navigating cancer treatment or survivorship, Kristi is trained to offer safe, effective, and carefully coordinated support. A conversation about what is possible for your specific situation is the right place to start.
