First visits are approximately 90 mins and follow-up appointments are an hour. Patients are encouraged to bring in any labs, reports, or blood work that may be relevant as well as to wear loose fitting clothing, eat within two hours of their appointments and avoid excessive caffeine on treatment days.
Initial appointments are for new patients or those who have not been seen in over a year and have had significant changes to their health. A link to a health history questionnaire will be emailed to you after an initial appointment is booked.
Please fill out the questionnaire before your appointment. Patients who arrive at their initial appointment without having completed the questionnaire will lose evaluation time.

Payment is due at the time of service. A $20 late fee applies if payment isn’t made before or immediately after treatment.
This office does not deal directly with insurance companies. Patients who would like to seek reimbursement from their carrier will be given a superbill upon request for acupuncture only. This office makes no guarantee of reimbursement.
We can accommodate up to 15 minutes. After that, your appointment will need to be rescheduled, and the full appointment fee applies. This helps keep the clinic on schedule for everyone.
Appointments cancelled after 4pm the business day before your visit will be charged the full visit fee, except in rare emergencies, evaluated at Kristi’s discretion. Patients using a package will forfeit one session. If it is possible to fill your spot, you’ll be notified and the fee waived.
Does acupuncture hurt?
Some needles are barely felt. Patients often notice a mild ache, warmth, or heaviness at the needle site, which is a normal and positive treatment response. Acupuncture needles are extremely fine, far thinner than a hypodermic needle. Most people find the experience deeply relaxing and many fall asleep.
How many sessions will I need?
Acute conditions often respond in 6 to 8 sessions. Chronic conditions that have been present fora long time generally require a longer course of treatment.
Can I use acupuncture alongside my current medical treatment?
Yes. Acupuncture is designed to work with conventional medical care. Please bring a complete list of your current treatments, medications, and supplements to your first appointment. It helps build a comprehensive and effective treatment plan.
Can I receive acupuncture if I am pregnant?
Acupuncture can be safe during pregnancy when performed by a trained practitioner who understands pregnancy protocols. Certain points are contraindicated during pregnancy and will not be used.
Is acupuncture covered by insurance?
Coverage varies by plan. I do not directly communicate with insurance companies for any service. Superbill for acupuncture only are available after a series of treatment upon request. Please allow 7-10 business days.
